Iran pocket futsal crown

TRIPOLI, Libya: Iran overcame Libya 1-0 in their final game to win the Al Fateh Futsal Confederations Cup at the Tripoli Grand Hall on Monday.

The Asian champions just needed a draw from the final game following their three consecutive victories earlier in the tournament.

Iran defeated CONCACAF champions Guatemala 4-2 in the opener before beating CONMEBOL representatives Uruguay by the same scoreline. They thrashed OFC champions Solomon Islands 6-0.

Iran received a cash prize of $50,000.
