Mato Stankovic is no longer in charge of the
Lybian National Futsal Team. According to our informations, due to personal reasons, he asked to terminate his contract and the Lybian federation accepted the request. The croatian coach came to Lybia two years and a half ago and made selection of players from the streets and outside courts. In this period Lybia became
African champion on their own soil,
Arabian holders in Egypt,
North African winners in Tunisia, qualified for the World cup in Brazil and added several notable results in international friendly matches. Before his Lybian experience he won 6 national titles in Croatia, as well as 5 Croatian cups and got the bronze medal in the first ever UEFA Futsal Cup, leading
Mnk Split.
Stankovic reported that the end of his contract with
Libyan FA came in friendly manner and he left the african country with great memories. Now he's moving on and looking for one more interesting experience, after showing his expertise and getting great results in Africa and Europe.
