Swindon carpenter makes England Futsal debut

Thursday 12th November 2009

FORMER Town triallist Bradley Clark may not have made the grade at the County Ground, but the striker is celebrating receiving his first England Futsal cap.

The 21-year-old spent pre-season training with Swindon in the hope of winning a permanent deal, but despite missing out on a contract, his talent didn’t go unnoticed by the national Futsal side.

Clark, who is a carpenter, made his England debut against Israel last month and having impressed is set for another call-up against Libya in December.

“My first England match was really good, it went really well,” revealed Stratton-based Clark “Getting my first cap was a brilliant feeling. Israel won 3-1 which was a shame, but I really enjoyed it.

“Just the other day I got a call from the manager to tell me I should be travelling to Libya at the start of December to play against their team.

“I can’t wait.”
