Boel ErikssonAN in-house meeting will be held in an attempt to reach a compromise regarding the futsal courts closure at Cammeray’s Anzac Memorial Club.
A review of determination was lodged by the club recently after an order to shut down the courts was issued by the council due to several breaches of the club’s lease.
The application asked for permission to open the courts on weekdays between 8am and 6pm.
The application came up for discussion at Monday night’s meeting, with residents speaking both for and against it.
The application was recommended for refusal, however it was instead deferred to an in-house meeting between nearby residents, club and school representatives.
The council also discussed whether only school children could be allowed on the courts, and if the application could be altered to only include soccer.
