Important update regarding the planned debut of the first ever UAE futsal league. On November 2nd 2009 was heldthe first team managers meeting, hosted by the Sharjah Youth Center.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmad Al-Fardan, chairman of the futsal excutive committee and Mr. Abdulla Hassan from the UAE Football Association. There were 14 team managers taking part in the meeting, as they will participate in the 1st official UAE league.

On November 16-25 and December 4-7, 2009, preliminary tournaments will take place with the purpose, for clubs taking part, to try and evaluate more players as well as playing official games before they start the league in January 2010.

Things are definitely set and ready to go in United Arab Emirates, also looking forward to register the debut of the UAE National Team soon, achievement that will allow the local FA to compete in regional, continental, and international competitions.
