Debrecen hero snaps up futsal ticket

UEFA European Futsal Championship tickets went on sale on Monday and one of the first to log on to book his seat for the finals in January was Debreceni VSC striker Gergely Rudolf.

Matches will be played from 19 to 30 January at Debrecen's Fõnix Arena as well as the Papp László Sportaréna in Budapest, and while admission can be purchased for individual games, Rudolf took advantage of an offer to buy special tickets allowing entry to all matches at his chosen venue, via futsaleurotickets.com. Debrecen will stage Groups B and D – featuring holders Spain – plus two quarter-finals, both semis and the final, with the remaining games, including hosts Hungary's Group A fixtures, in Budapest.

Exciting times
Rudolf, capped ten times by Hungary and scorer of two goals in Debrecen's debut UEFA Champions League campaign this season, said: "I like technical football and futsal is a sport where you really need those skills. I don't want to miss the EURO, especially as most of the games will be in Debrecen. It is a really exciting time for the city with Debrecen playing in the UEFA Champions League and then, in January, the chance to see another major UEFA event live."
