Similar to an indoor 5-on-5 soccer game, futsal's popularity is spreading into North America. The North Bay Elite Club is holding sign-ups for its winter futsal league. The league is open to boys and girls ages 8-16.

The league opens Dec. 1 and competition continues through March 3. NorCal Premier Stte Cup games are scheduled for Dec. 5-6, all day. Games are played at Allan Witt Recreational Center.
