Charles KadamanaThursday, 24 December 2009The “Christmas against Crime” Futsal Games held at Bible Way Center in Borderline will go into the final play offs today.
Eighteen futsal teams from borderline and surrounding communities are participating in the games.
Yesterday 22 games were completed while three games will be played today as catch up matches.
Today’s catch up matches will feature Green Valley B taking on Fulisango, Mudland against Oteote A and Oteote B going up against Windy Ridge.
For the normal fixtures, the first game for today will see Mudland A and Kobito 1 taking on each other starting at 9am.
The second game will see Oteote B against Kobito 2 followed by Green Valley A and Oteote A. Then Mbua Valley will play Windy Valley, Green Valley against Kobito 1, Mbua Valley B against Kobito 2, Oteote A and Kobito 1 and Windy Ridge versus Kobito 2 respectively.
The quarter finals are expected to kick off from 12.40 pm to 1.40pm and Semi finals from 2.20pm to 2.40pm.
The grand final of the game should be played at 3.45 pm followed by the prize presentations and the Carol night.
The Games are organized to foster positive environment for the youths of Borderline as well for the surrounding communities.
Volleyball, Table Tennis, balloon race, bobbing for apples and egg, the spoon race and other sports are also played during the games.
All Borderline community members and other surrounding communities are encouraged to attend the Christmas carol after the prize presentations.
