Capital Football Announces Futsal National Squads

Capital Football has finalised the ACT Men’s and Women’s squads that will compete in the 31st FFA Futsal National Championships in Canberra from 11-15 January 2010.

ACT Coach Jose Exposito has selected a strong 12-man squad for the men’s part of the tournament which will be held early next year. Several players who were part of the ACT selection that was beaten 1-2 in the Grand Final by NSW last year are back for another crack at the title.

“Our expectations for the 2010 FFA Futsal National championships are very high,” Futsal Technical Director, Pat McCann, said.

“Both our flagship Men’s and Women’s programs have a clear vision, experienced technical staff and a good combination of young players and players who have already played at the highest level.”

“Both squads will head into the 2010 campaign with an improved preparation over 2009 and we look forward to an improved national ranking as a result.”

Training for the squad commences on Wednesday 9th December at UC from 7.30pm-9.00pm.

Players who were not successful in being selected for the squad are encouraged to attend the ACT Colts (second team) trial, which is also scheduled for Wednesday night at UC from 7.30pm-9.00pm.
