Here we go with the fourth day! Today is time for "young people" as we're going to announce the winner of the Best Young (Under 21) Player of the World category! Yesterday we've celebrated Iran and Brazil Women for the National teams prize, let's go on with the UMBRO Futsal Awards 2009 - 10th Edition by Futsalplanet.com.

So, which is the Best Young (Under 21) Player of the World in the year 2009? We have to go back in Brazil and again in Carlos Barbosa, cause the winner is the ACBF's Thiaguinho!

Winning talent
The brilliant year of Thiago Freixo Moreira, in futsal known as Thiaguinho exactly followed the 12 winning months experienced by his club Carlos Barbosa. The huge talent of the garoto from the Rio de Janeiro state was immediately clear to the brazilian (and not only) futsal stage. Thiaguinho found his space in a roster done by players already on the top since many years and other talents of the laranja mecanica, soon turning into one of the absolute leading actors of the triplice coroa achieved by ACBF.

The Big Jump
It was not only a matter of "club glory", as Thiaguinho is living a more than successful experience also wearing the dreamed canarinhos shirt. The current coach of Brazil, Pipoca, noticed his great skills when he was still playing for Teresopolis and counted on him to claim the third South American title Under 20 at the end of the 2008 year. But that was not enough for both, as Thiaguinho did the great jump from the Under 20 team to the "A" one, again with Pipoca on the bench.

When talking about Thiaguinho, the current coach of Brazil Pipoca has a perfectly clear opinion: "He's a left flank, I had him in the Under 20 and some more times with the major team. He was consecrated in 2009 playing an impressive season with ACBF, and keep on beeing more mature day by day. Intelligent player, disciplined, skilled and committed with the tactical part as well. He's already a great player right now, but I guess he can be more important for Brazilian futsal in the near future". Can you ask for more?
