Iran named 2009 world best futsal team

Following good results in last year’s futsal tournaments, Iran’s futsal team has been chosen by Futsalplanet and other sites as the best national team of the world in 2009.

The “Persian Kings” demonstrated a good performance last year and tied 2-2 with the world powerhouse Brazil.

“We’re saying nothing new if we mention the Iranians dominance in the Asian continent; the Persian Kings keep on denying victory to Japan, Thailand, Uzbekistan and all the other opponents with ambitious intentions. Iran gained a new role in worldwide futsal, starting with the World Cup 2008 and going on with brilliant results last year. Iran wants more. New names of young and talented players keep popping out on the international stage. Great expectations.” Futsalplanet wrote in a statement.
