The FA Futsal National League North

Middlesbrough are set to host Leeds Futsal Club on Sunday as they continue their defence of The FA Futsal League North title.
A 4-3 away win against Manchester last week saw Boro hit the ground running despite several new players and a lack of training over the festive period.
While the club is struggling to run, the support of local people is even more important and club secretary Neil Greaves is urging people to attend and is sure they will be entertained by one of England’s top Futsal teams.
“Boro are one of the best Futsal teams in England so the quality on show will be very high," he said.
"And at only £1 for kids, it is excellent value. Thornaby can hold almost 400 spectators so if we were to get a decent crowd we could have a great atmosphere for our home games!”
Manager Damon Shaw also wants to see some faces in the stands this week against Leeds. “We’ve finally been awarded with home and away fixtures and as defending champions it would be nice to have some support for the boys," he admitted.
"We have a young team, most of which are local lads who are desperate to do well in Boro colours.”
“With not much football happening over Christmas and the freezing temperatures, we can offer a high quality match in the warmth of the Pavilion for next to nothing.”
Middlesbrough have added some new faces to their squad this season and set to make their debuts are two former Middlesbrough Football Club schoolboys Jordan Robinson and Theodore Furness. Shaw is happy that this level of player is making the switch to Futsal and is hopeful of a bright future for them both.
“The two lads we’ve signed on from the Boro academy, one of the best in the country, have a bright future in Futsal and along with Jamie Poole, Sean O’Brien and Paul Smith will compliment the more experienced players and give them some tough competition for places.”
Entry to the match is £2 for adults, £1 for under-16s and a family ticket (two adults, two kids) is £4. The doors open from 1pm and kick off is at 2pm.
