Elmir AliyevFri 29 January 2010The semifinals of the European futsal championshop have been held in Debrecen (Hungary).According to News.Az, the Azerbaijani team played Portugal. The main time of the match ended in a draw 3:3, but the Portuguese won in the penalty serious. The result is 8:6.
The score in the match was opened on the eighth minute when Tiago sent the ball after Serzhao’s pass. But in two minutes the Portuguese restored the balance with Cardinal excelling. However, by the end of the first time the Azerbaijani team managed to intercept the initiative and Felipe’s strongest kick almost broke the Portuguese goal.
In the second time the teams were unable to score within seven minutes while afterwards they scored three goals in just 1.5 minutes. Zhoao Matosh and Pedro Koshta scored the goals on the 28 and 29th minutes. But in 46 seconds Biro Jade again brought the score to a draw – 3:3.
Only one failure was observed in the penalty series. Azerbaijani player Tiago failed to score at 6 meters.
On January 30 the Azerbaijani team will play in the match of the third place with the Czech Republic that lost to Spain (1:8) in the semifinal.
