Solomon futsal

DEAR EDITOR – It is pleasing to see young under 12 and 15 Futsal players being nurtured through outside exposure in a recent tournament in Australia.

It is such deliberate steps in junior development that will keep us the Futsal champs of Oceania.

Fiji and the other Oceania countries are targeting to topple Solomon Islands this year in the seniors.

Having said that, in Futsal I think a considerable gap had been created by our boys against all other Oceania countries including New Zealand.

However, we must never be complacent and send in a well-trained and rehearsed squad to the Oceania Championships this year.

We can’t wait for the festival to begin!

Our major Futsal goal, I feel, is to continually bridge the gap between us and other bigger Futsal countries, which I think we are steadily doing so.

Our boys continue to play entertaining and positive Futsal everywhere they go.

Oh and please don’t forget to send in Jack Whetney and Elliot Ragomo.
