Kuala Langat are men's open champs

KUALA Langat Municipal Council emerged as the men’s open champions in the Central Region Zone stage of the 5th Futsal I-Metro Championship at de Stadium Futsal in Subang Jaya yesterday.


The Kuala Langat team defeated Royale 4-2 in the final and received RM5,000.

In the women’s final, Moon Lighters edged Figos Thoelix 1-0 to pick up the winners’ cheque of RM3,500.

RG Juniors defeated Court Soccer 3-0 to lift the boys’ Under-17 title.

In the Sorak I-Metro event, Rebels finished first with 479 points followed by Pirates (470) and Vibrant ‘B’ (458).

The Central Zone competition attracted 296 teams.

The next stop is the northern region zone stage, on March 13-14, in Penang.

NSTP chief executive officer Datuk Anthony Bujang attended the event.
