AFC extends deal with Connor Sports for futsal courts

KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will continue its association with Connor Sports, a United States company that produces international standard futsal courts.

"It is our pleasure to announce the extension of our partnership with Conner Sports. They are a part of our AFC family and have been supporting our efforts in developing and promoting Futsal in the region", said AFC.

Under an agreement between the two parties, Connor Sports will provide AFC with courts to use in the body's futsal competitions for 2010 and 2011.

In addition, AFC will receive one court a year to be donated to a selected Member Association for the promotion of futsal.

The contract does not cover the re-scheduled AFC Futsal Club Championship to be held this year in Isfahan, Iran.

Connor Sports benefits from the deal by being granted limited sponsorship rights to boosts its presence in Asia.
