Something surprising from Kuwait. As confirmed by different sources the brazilian player
Adriano Foglia should be flying today towards
Kuwait, in order to take part in the first ever futsal league organised in the asian country. According to our informations the best player of the World 2003 (
click here) is ready to join the kuwaiti club
Al Arabi for three months. At the end of the national league
Foglia would move to Qatar, training hard in Doha to be back at the highest level once his FIFA sanction will be expired in October 2010. As reported Adriano Foglia has signed one year agreement with a private agency run by
Ali Al Mannai, with the external support of former Qatari coach
Rubio Guerra. Is it clear that this option for
Foglia is only possible if will be confirmed that the newly created
Kuwaiti Futsal League is neither affiliated to the local federation (something hard to believe considering that the Kuwaiti FA announced it on their official web site) and therefore nor to FIFA: otherwise the paulista players would not be allowed to take part in it due to the FIFA sanction still active and the need to get an international transfer from his current club in Italy,
Montesilvano. Same reasons why he could not join
Malwee Futsal on past summer (see links at the bottom of the page to know more on the matter!). Let's see what's happen!
