Anvar Mamedov stated that his team cannot display its full potential in the match against Japan's club Nagoya Oceans 2-5.
"We had very strong opponent, but we should understand that the main issue is ourselves. Our game was far from ideal as many of our players are playing their first international matches and this affected out display. But before the match, Japanese club was favorite," Mamedov said.
The Uzbek coach acknowledged that the victory of the Japanese club was natural.
"Japanese club win us with their skills. Our first opponent had good team play, but we also did not play bad as the scoreline shows," he said.
Speaking about next opponents, Iran's Foolad, Mamedov said: "I watched their match against Kyrgyz side AUB and Iran team is favourite both in group and tournament. They have many leaders, especially Vahid Shamsaee showed good display. But we are not accepting defeat before the match. We will try to show good play."
