The AFC.comFutsal referees make most of AFC education Tuesday, 09 March 2010Esfahan: It is not only the players who are enjoying themselves at the AFC Futsal Club Championship in this Iranian city – the referees are having a ball as well.
Malaysian Saminathen Marimuthu is one of the instructors from the AFC Elite Futsal Pael selected to conduct courses at the tournament for the continent’s top clubs.
He said the knowledge that they gained from the recent AFC Elite Education Seminar 2010 was helping referees in Esfahan.
“This championship provides excellent opportunities for the referees to execute what they learned,” he said.
The tournament also provide added experience before the AFC Futsal Championship for national teams in Uzbekistan in May. There are 12 referees officiating at the tournament.
