Various events lined up for Bah Futsal Carnival

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah fm, TM Sandakan, Suria Futsal and Sandakan fm are jointly organising the inaugural Bah Futsal Carnival, which would be held at the Mile 4, Giant Supermarket in Sandakan at 5pm on March 20, this year.

According to it coordinator, Any Rozita Abdul Mutalib, various activities would be organised for the programme, among them a Mini Carnival for the longest goal cheer on radio, a Sandakan futsal team selection, quiz and interviews with footballers from Sandakan.

She said the programme is aimed at promoting Sabah fm and Sandakan fm to radio listeners in the area.

"With this programme, radio listeners in Sandakan can get to know more about their favourite radio programme presenters," said Any Rozita.

The programme will also promote the 2010 World Cup Campaign.

Any hopes that radio listeners in Sandakan would turn up in numbers at the event and take part in the activities, especially to choose which players they want to represent the district at the tournament final, which would later be held in Kota Kinabalu.

Among the Sabah fm presenters that would be involved in the programme are Mohd Rasol Mat Seman, Suhani Abdul Hamid, Mohd Syum Abdul Majid, Florence John Luan, Rosnah Jalkul, Muzaffar Shah Alias and Noraniza Nordin.

Any said the programme would be conducted in other districts like Labuan, Tawau, Keningau and Kota Kinabalu.

Dewan Negara Deputy Speaker, Senator Datuk Armani Mahiruddin, who is also Sabah Wanita Umno Chief, is expected to officiate at the programme.
