Solomon Star NewsInteresting part in boldSIFF urge PFA to submit formsThursday, 18 March 2010The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Events and Competitions Department has called upon Provincial Football Associations (PFAs) to submit their registration forms for national competitions this year.
Head of Department, Daniel Fa'alimae, made the call following delays with the response from the PFAs after the forms were sent out in February.
Fa'alimae said that the forms were mailed and emailed out to all the PFAs but only Isabel Football Association has met the deadline of 12th March, 2010.
The due date for the submission of registration forms has now been extended to Friday 26th March, 2010.
The necessary forms are available from the SIFF office and PFAs may pick them up from there or advise SIFF of any mailing, fax or email address can be used to send the documents to.
All the PFAs must fill in and send back the forms before they are eligible to attend the national competitions this year,Fa'alimae said.
Six (6) national competitions are lined up this year
including the newly introduced national futsal and national beach soccer championships set to kick off the SIFF competitions calendar for 2010.
The national futsal championship is scheduled for the end of this month and the national futsal championship will follow in April. (
Futsalplanet Note: one of the two mentioned championships must refer to beach soccer, we guess!)
The highly successful high schools national championship and the national kids football, cultural and education festival are also scheduled again this year.
Both competitions were introduced in 2009 to address youth and children's football levels.
In addition SIFF is reminding all the PFAs to submit copies of their statutes and their activity reports to the head office.
All the PFAs were supposed to have submitted their copies of their statutes by February 28 but so far only a few of them have done so.
