Nhan DanVietnam to compete in group C at Asian futsal championshipVietnam will compete in group C with Thailand, the Republic of Korea and Kyrgyzstan, according to the official draw of the 2010 Asian Futsal Championship.
This will be a big challenge for Vietnam as Thailand are the defending Asian runners-up while Kyrgyzstan have qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Championship for three times.
Defending champions Iran lie in group B with Australia, Kuwait and Tajikistan. Meanwhile, group D comprises China, Turkmenistan and Iraq.
Hosts Uzbekistan lie in group A with Chinese Taipei, Indonesia and Lebanon.
The 2010 Asian Futsal Championship will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 23-30. The teams will compete on a round robin basis to select the two top teams qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Vietnam is faced with strong rivals with Thailand being the runners-up of the last Championships and Kyrgyzstan having entered the semi-finals for 3 successive years.
Before competing at the event, the Vietnamese team will participate in the Southeastern Asian Futsal Championships in Ho Chi Minh City from April 5-11.
The national squad is in training at the Thanh Long Sport Complex in Ho Chi Minh City.
