Malta's Futsal national team players under the direction of the forward-looking coach Vic Hermans and his assistant Bert Kessen will again pit their abilities on the international scene when they travel to England at the end of this month to take part in the International Friendly Four Nations Tournament to be played in Hereford.

Malta will be up against the host country, England, Finland and Turkey in this quandrangular tournament, which will be staged over two days.

According to Hermans, these matches will be another opportunity for him to gauge his team's level of performance and provide him with the possibility to draft new players into the squad. More international exposure for them and eventual experience are the primary aims. This tournament will be a continuation of his build-up strategy in view of the upcoming commitments in competitive events.

On 2nd April Turkey will play Finland while Malta face England. Winners and losers of these matches will play each other on the following day, with the winning team emerging from the first tie and the third-placed from the second.
