Tranmere Victoria vs. Sheffield FCMatch report on 21/03/2010Sheffield Futsal team was back in action this weekend after beating the defending champions Middlebrough FC a week ago to regain top spot in the FA Futsal League North.
This weekend fixture was an away game against one of the most experienced sides and favorites to the title Tranmere Victoria in Chester.
Sheffield started the game having most of the possession and attacking opportunities but a well worked counter-attack on the 10th minute saw the home team take the lead and the home team scored again after 3minutes making 2x0 after a free-kick.
Ryon Leyshon scored just before the break after exchanging passes with Eamonn Chapman.
The second half started with Sheffield pressing to equalize the match and the home team goalkeeper were very busy making great saves and also Sheffield players hitting the bar 3 times on second half.
The visitors were reduced to 4 players with 7 minutes remaining and another player was sent–off with 3min 30seconds remaining making the possibility of equalizing a lot harder.
Leyshon scored his 9th goal of the season with 0.4 seconds remaining to equalize the match and leave Sheffield sharing top spot with Manchester FC after they beat Leeds FC at home 10x2.
The other games of the day had Boro losing at home to Grimsby 3x4 and Liverpool losing to Oldham at home 5x9.
Next game for Sheffield FC is Liverpool away on 18th of April and a home game a week after against Leeds FC on 25th April at Concord Sports Centre, 3:25pm KO.
