FAI Futsal PortalSomers seeks revenge tonight against NorwayIreland will seek revenge tonight against their Norwegian counterparts when they play their second friendly in as many days in the National basketball Arena in Tallaght.
Ireland lost 2-1 last night in what ended up being a promising finish from the boys in green after a poor first half performance.
Ireland goal keeper John Somers, who gave a man of the match performance after an onslaught from the
Norwegians commented ahead of tonight's game. "In order to get a better result tomorrow night we must block the long ball been played up to their (Norway) pivot man."
Despite the loss Somers saw some positives that the Irish could take into tonight's game, saying, "although we were quite poor in the first half we really took the game to the Norwegians in the second half."
Irish goal scorer Tony Kane commended the Norwegian team who were on their fist international outing. "Although they (Norway) are not together very long they were well organised."
He went further to say "if we are going to beat them tomorrow (Wed), we must be more innovative in attack."
The two teams will line out again tonight at 8 o' clock in the national Basketball Arena in Tallaght
