AFC Futsal C'ship registration window opens

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC has informed the participating teams of the AFC Futsal Championship 2010 to submit register their players and officials before the deadline of April 23, 2010.

In a letter sent to the Member Associations of Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Korea Republic, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam on April 5, AFC has urged the teams to submit the required documents before the deadline.

As per Article 29 of the competition regulations, every participating team is allowed to register up to 20 players.

The regulations for the competition and the required documents and forms needed to complete the registration are available on the AFC official website www.the-afc.com on the following URL address.


Uzbekistan will host the 11th edition of the tournament from May 23 to 30.

Uzbekistan Sports Complex and Universal Sport Saroyi will stage the group matches while matches from the quarter finals stage will be played at the Uzbekistan Sports Complex.

The top two teams in each group will progress to the quarter-finals.

Iran will be gunning for their 10th title in the 16-team event. They beat Thailand 4-0 in the last year’s final.
