Iran fined over futsal spectators' misconduct

The Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) has been fined $11,000 for spectators' misconduct during the 2010 AFC Futsal Club Championship.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) fined the FFIRI for “for liability of spectators' conduct” in Iranian club Foulad Mahan Sepahan's three matches against AUB Altyn Tash (Kyrgyzstan), Stroitel Zarafshan (Uzbekistan) and Nagoya Oceans (Japan), the AFC said on its website on Tuesday.

The matches were held in March in the 2010 AFC Futsal Club Championship, in which host Foulad was crowned champion.

The FFIRI was also fined $3,000 for “the entry of unauthorized persons into the team dressing room” during Foulad's match with the Kyrgyz club and the two matches against Nagoya Oceans on March 9 and 11.
