Futsal coming to Redway

Inside Sports is partnering with the Redway Afterschool Program (RAP) to bring Futsal to elementary school-aged children in Southern Humboldt.
Futsal is a five-a-side, indoor soccer game played on a basketball court. The game is fast paced, builds ball handling skills and sportsmanship. Each child has more ball touches. Inside Sports offered Futsal as an after school program last spring at South Fork High School to 7th graders and up.

The program will be offered at Redway Elementary to kindergarden through 2nd grade students on Tuesdays after school. After school on Thursdays it will be presented to 3rd through 7th graders. Inside Sports will provide shinguards, balls and goals as well as a trained instructor/referee.

Registration forms are available at Redway School in the office, through RAP or by visiting the Inside Sports website. The cost for the six-week program is $30. Registrations will be accepted through the first week of program, which begins April 13.
