VOV NewsVietnam come top with second win 07/04/2010The Vietnamese futsal team recorded its second win at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Futsal Championships, placing them on top of the ladder.
Truong Quoc Tuan, Nguyen Quoc Bao, Huynh Ba Tuan, and Nguyen Bao Quan each scored to beat the Philippines 4-0 in the second day of the round robin competition.
Vietnam stuck to their 3-1 formation, which paid off in the 11th minute as Quoc Tuan hit home from close range.
Bao doubled the lead using his wonderful bicycle kick after his first attempt was blocked by the Philippines goalkeeper Hamidreza Gholamreza Geshnizjani before the interval.
In the 22nd minute, Ba Tuan’s fierce free kick rounded the wall and went straight into the right top corner of Geshanizjani’s goal to extend the lead to 3-0.
One minute later, captain Bao Quan scored the last goal of the match to seal the win.
In an attack on the left flank, Quan played one-two with Ba Tuan, who squared the ball past the Philippines’s goalie to tap the ball into an empty net.
