ERIN Pridmore loves soccer. The 11-year-old started playing six years ago and has now found a whole new world with futsal.

The Kellyville youngster recently represented the NSW under-11 girls team for the FFA Futsal National Championships in Canberra.

She has also been nominated for the 2010 Rouse Hill Times Junior Sports Star Awards.

The year 6 William Clarke College student was among the 121 squads at the tournament ranging from under-11 to open age.

The team played eight games over three days and finished third overall.

“I scored six goals and got heaps of experience,” she said.

“I play in the Premier League Futsal for the Dural Warriors Club in the under-12 girls team. We made the semi-finals.”

On top of these accomplishments she has been selected in the Football NSW under-13 squad to play at the national titles in Canberra over Easter.

“I play for the North West Sydney Koalas for Premier League in outdoor soccer in the under-12s,” she said. “I’ve been in this team for two seasons and love outdoor playing as midfield and defence.

“When I’m playing indoor I’m usually out wide and defence.”

The youngster’s father used to play soccer.

“He’s given a few tips along the way.”

The Junior Sports Star Awards are proudly supported by Rebel Sport, Nash Patel’s The Good Guys and Supa Centa Castle Hill.
