Persian Kings finish 1st in Thailand futsal tourney

Iran crowned champion of the Thailand 5's 2010 Four Nations Tournament on Saturday. In the match held in Udon Thani's Centara Hotel Iran beat Argentina 3-1 and won the championship.

Iran's futsal team, known as Persian Kings, had also defeated Uzbekistan 2-1 and host Thailand 4-3 in the tourney.

Uzbekistan and Argentina finished second and third respectively, each gaining three points. Thailand was fourth without any points (Futsalplanet note: Thailand ended with three points as well after yesterday win over Uzbekistan).

Iran claimed the title in the absence of iconic player Vahid Shamsaee who was not invited to the team after a fall out with coach Hossein Shams.
