RI futsal team gets Rp 400m cash bonus

The Indonesian futsal team will receive Rp 400 million (US$44,400) from the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) after winning the ASEAN Football Federation Futsal Championship 2010 in Ho Chi Minh.

PSSI chairman Nurdin Halid said Tuesday that the national team's bonus was twice the bonus they received earlier this year after advancing to the Asian Football Confederation Championship.

“I have discussed [about the bonus] with Ferry Paulus, the Indonesian Futsal Committee chairman,” he said as quoted by Antara news agency.

Indonesia emerged champions of the AFF Futsal Championship after thrashing Malaysia 5-0 in the final that was played Sunday. Previously, Indonesia had crushed Malaysia 6-0 in the preliminary round.
