VOV NewsFutsal team prepares for Asian ChampsNearly 20 Vietnamese players will be called starting on April 18 to prepare for the final round of the Asian Futsal Championships by the Italian head coach Sergio Gargelli.
Most of the players participated at the last 2010 Southeast Asia Futsal and they are expected to fly high at the Asian event.
They will gather and train at the Thanh Long Sports Training Centre in Ho Chi Minh Cioty from April 18-May 8 before leaving for Spain to play friendly matches. They will arrive in Uzbekistan on May 21 to attend the Asian championships.
In the competition, Vietnam will be in the same group with Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea. It will be a tough group as Thailand is the defending champion of the event while Kyrgyzstan has three times reached the semi final.
