Pension Services claim futsal championship

Pension Services Section emerged as the champion in the 4th Futsal championship between sections of the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) after beating the Administration Section, 1-0, in the final match held at the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall in Berakas over the weekend.

Md Luqman Hj Kamaludin was named as the Best Player and Top Goal Scorer (with four goals) of the championship.

He scored the winning goal in the dying minutes to claim the championship trophy for his team. Meanwhile, the Family Services Unit snatched the Best Team award.

Present to give away prizes was the Acting Director of Social Services at the Ministry of Culutre, Youth and Sports, Dayang Hajah Misnah Haji Bolhassan.

Also present were Acting Director of JAPEM, Awang Mohd Husaini Abdullah and several JAPEM senior officers.

Seven teams – Family Services Unit, KRK ‘A’ Section, KRK ‘B’ Section, Administration Section, Pension Services Section, OBK Section and General Welfare Section – participated in this year’s edition organized by the Family Services Unit.

The Welfare Houses Complex will host the 2011 championship.
