LOGAN CITY: Jaime Gunning and Tianah Pearce have their own secret to success.

The talented futsal players share a friendship that makes them a dominant force on the court.
Their friendship gives them the ability to anticipate each other’s actions and both have been selected to represent Australia in the under-12/13 2010 Futsal tour of New Zealand in May.
Mother Debbie Gunning said she was delighted to see the two best friends succeed. ``We are extremely proud of both Jaime and Tianah, not just for their personal achievements but more so in their dedication to training and the spirit in which they compete,’’ Mrs Gunning said.
Excited father Chris Gunning said the girls had a special bond.
``They are able to pre-empt each other’s moves and positions on the court when lining up shots at goal,’’ Mr Gunning said.
This chemistry has not gone unnoticed by state and national selectors with both Jaime and Tianah being selected to represent Queensland in 2009.
``Both girls grew up together playing on various soccer teams dominated by boys.’’
Gunning and Pearce recently guided their school, St Bernadine’s, Regents Park undefeated through the South East Queensland Primary School Futsal titles in March and hope to continue this success in New Zealand.
