Brunei Earth HourSeven teams for Aewon LSCB Futsal LeagueApr 23rd, 2010Seven teams will compete in the 1st ever eAewon LSCB Futsal League 2010starting on Sunday (April 25) at the JKR Sports Complex.
An Agreement of Understandingsigning between the organiser, team managers and referee association was held last night at LefStadium Restaurant in Rimba to officiate the futsal league.
Present to witness the signing ceremony was Pg Adanan Pengiran Seri Indera Pg Hj Ismail, the Treasurer of Football Federation of Brunei Darussalam (FFBD).
Also present were Hj Md Yunos Hj Md Yusof, FFBD registrar who is also the chairman of FFBD futsal and beach ball, Haji Kamran Haji Akop, Secretary of Brunei Darussalam Futsal Referee Committee (BdfutRC) who represent the referee association and Kevin Lau, Aewon representative.
The night also witnessed the handing-over of the leaguefs Challenge Trophy and match ball from the league sponsors, Aewon Garment & Embroidery, to the organiser.
The participating teams are Liverpool Supporters Club of Brunei (LSCB.), Printerku Reds Supporters, Manchester United Supporters Club Brunei (MUSCB), Barcelona Supporters Club, Arsenal Brunei Supporters Club (ABSC), Kota Junior Supporters Club and Brisbane Broncos Supporters Club.
The futsal league will be played every Sunday, 9am-12noon and will run until the end of July.
The Aewon LSCB. Futsal League 2010 is LSCB's first competitive futsal event and it hoped to attract the likes of many supporters and encourage the growth of further supporters clubs in Brunei,h said the President of LSCB. Edmund Sumping last night.
It also aimed to promote supporters clubs in Brunei as well as to create awareness to have more supporters clubs in the country. Besides, we also hope to see an unofficial club to be registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS),h he added.
