Daily ExpressFutsal Carnival postponedWednesday, April 28, 2010Papar: The Women's Futsal Carnival organised jointly by Puteri Umno, Pemadam, Puspanita and the Community Representative Service Centre here, has been postponed to May 15 and 16, this year.
Organising assistant secretary, Hazlina Haniff in a statement issued here yesterday said the competition date has been changed but the closing date for entries remains the same (May 1).
She said the competition committee decided to change the event date from May 8-9 based on popular demand.
The entry fee was also reduced to RM20 per team from previously RM30 to encourage more teams to participate.
The competition is open to women living in Papar between the ages of 18 and 45.
Some attractive prizes and trophies will be on offer to winners.
Hazlina urged Papar residents to take part in the Carnival and called on others in the community to come and cheer for the teams.
