The LWSSL ran an Under 12 Girls Futsal League. It was a blitz format over 5 weeks. There were 9 teams involved from 6 clubs in Limerick. Aisling Annacotty, Regional United, Coonagh United, Bilboa, Corbally United and Moyross.

A round robin league system resulted in the top teams progressing to the Cup Play-offs and the other half played off for the Shield.. All the teams came together for the final day and the high standard of play belied the fact that these girls were all new to the game of Futsal. The preliminary rounds were hotly contested with some superb goals scored, saves made with the standard of passing increasing as the weeks went by.

The two Regional United teams fought it out for the Shield honours and Aisling Annacotty fought off the girls from Corbally United in a very close match. Final score 2-1.
