Kia Futsal Champ To Represent Malaysia At Global Final In South Africa

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- The champion of the "Kia Futsal With Soul" tournament" this month will represent Malaysia at the final of the Kia Motors Corporation's global futsal tournament in South Africa during the World Cup.

Thirteen countries, namely South Korea, China, Malaysia, France, Italy, Germany, England, Netherlands, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan and Syria are expected to take part in the global futsal tournament.

Naza Kia, the official distributor of Kia Motor vehicles in Malaysia, will join hands with Kia Motors, to organize the local tourney in Penang and Shah Alam on May 22, and in Subang and Melaka on May 29 and May 30 respectively.

The final of the tournament will be held on June 12-13 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium here.

Besides enabling the "Jalur Gemilang" to be flown in South Africa, the winner here would take home RM10,000, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, the Joint Group Executive chairman of the Naza Group of Companies, said here today.

He also launched the World Cup Guide Book containing information on all 32 teams at this year's World Cup.

Those who purchase the guide book will also get a chance to enter a contest and stand to win a trip to watch the World Cup.
