Charity futsal championship to raise funds for quake victims

The Youth & Sports Department is organising a charity futsal championship for the Humanitarian Fund for Earthquake Victims of Haiti and Chile.

The charity event is organised in cooperation with the Brunei Darussalam Football Association and Brunei Darussalam Futsal Referee Committee (BdfutRC).

The main aim is to raise money for earthquake victims of Haiti and Chile through sports activities. At the same time, the championship is to encourage communities as well as the public to be active in sports and to promote a healthy lifestyle.

The championship will play out from June 1 to June 6 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas.

Participation is open to all tiers of society, government ministries and departments, universities, colleges, secondary schools, private sectors, youth and sports associations, sport and youth clubs and public members in all four districts.
