Clean sweep for Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School

BISHOP of Hereford’s Bluecoat School completed a clean sweep in the Herefordshire Secondary School Winter Futsal League.

The city school came through to triumph as winners of the U12, U14 and U16 competitions.

At the start of the competition, 21 teams across three age groups from schools across Herefordshire, competed in a league format at Weobley and Whitecross High Schools respectively which culminated in the Futsal League Finals, at thePoint4.

The U16 Final started the afternoon’s proceedings with a hard-fought game between Bishop’s and Weobley High School when a goal from Tilly Salmon secured a 1-0 win.

Bishop’s U14 had not dropped any points throughout the winter league but Weobley pushed them all the way in the closest-fought game of the afternoon with Bishop’s eventually coming out 3-2 winners after Weobley fought hard to come back from 2-0 down.

The U12 teams from Bishop’s and Queen Elizabeth rounded up the afternoon’s proceedings.

A commanding performance from the Bishop’s girls and a determined effort from the QE girls, ended with Bishop’s finishing 8-0 winners.
