Round Three - The Clash of the Two Coast’s

Queensland Winter Futsal League’s Schedule for Friday 7th May 2010 at Beenleigh Arena.

Round Three will see the anticipated clash of the two coast teams when the Queensland Winter League returns to Beenleigh Firday night 7th May.

Gold Coast Tigers have the best defensive record in the league after two rounds with just five goals having found its way past their goalkeeper Reza Behbahani.

Behbahani hails from Iran who boast one of the strongest team’s in the Futsal World Cup ranked 5th in the World and are nine time winners of the Asian Futsal Championships.

As a youngster Behbahani followed his national team with just as great enthusiasm as he displays on the Futsal court.

He is one of the characters of the competition and is well respected by opponents.

Sunshine Coast Waves will not only be trying to upset the Tigers defensive record but will also have to plug the middle of the court as Behbahani is well known for his bursts down the middle of the court turning defence into attack within seconds.

It makes for a very entertaining game as the risks are high when goalkeepers leave their area.

So far the practice has been successful for the Tigers.
