ZC Excess Futsal were crowned First Division Champions last Friday,
following a hard fought season and Championship play-offs, after
eliminating Paola Downtown, 14 - 10 on aggregate, at semi-final stage -and Naxxar Motors, 12 - 7, during the final. The latter had eliminated White Eagles at semi-final stage.
With an impressive goal scoring tally and a string of consistent results during the league, ZC Excess managed to overcome, Naxxar Motors and Paola Downtown, who incidentally had placed first and second in the preliminary league respectively.
In an attempt at promoting the sport amongst youngsters, during the
season, ZC Excess in collaboration with Lazio Supporters Club, also
launched the ZC Excess Lazio Futsal School for kids between 7 and 15
years of age. This was another important milestone for the Club and is proving to be a great success. Registrations for next season will be available soon. ZC Excess will now represent Malta in UEFA Futsal Cup Competition.
