Futsal Court in Durensawit Demolished

Because of not suitable with Building Permit (IMB), a building having two futsal fields on Jl Laut Banda RT 10/17 No 3 Durensawit, East Jakarta was demolished, Wednesday (5/19). The building was not appropriate with IMB because previously the permit was for house, not for futsal field. It is 1,000 sq m and the development has been done 80%.

East Jakarta Sub-dept. of Building Control has issued development termination letter (SP4) No.1217/2009 on December 4, 2009. The sub-dept. has sealed it on December 17, 2009. But the owner kept developing it.

Head of Section for the sub-dept., Akhlak Semaun, stated that after the owner neglecting those legal letters, the sub-dept. issued demolition letter (SPB) No. 192/2010 on February 9th 2010. And the demolition execution was done today, Wednesday (5/19).

“All legal letters we had issued were neglected. We have to settle the matter by the help from Sub-district Satpol PP. the demolition was done by using excavator,” said Akhlak Semaun.

Semaun explained, the demolition was done because the building was not appropriate with bylaw (Perda) No. 7/1991 about building in Jakarta Capital City. Besides not appropriate with the permit, the building was not in line with commensurate line building (GSB).

The owner did not refuse the demolition. Semaun said that the sub-dept. did not know the real owner of the building. “We are implementing our duty. Hard sanction will be determined for illegal buildings,” Semaun added.
