Perth Youth Futsal

THE Spring 2010 season resumes tonight (Friday) with the penultimate rounds of league and cup fixtures.

With only two sessions remaining of the season, teams will be keen to land themselves some silverware as league and cup games near conclusion.

Entries for the new season will be accepted from existing teams at the session tonight (Friday, May 21) and then it will be opened to new teams. There will be a change to leagues and formats, so teams will be provided with full details at the sessions.

The start of the Perth Youth Futsal Tote Club has been put back until August. Revised details will be announced at the next session tonight (Friday) and all those who had applied for entry to the club will be contacted soon. New applications for inclusion will be accepted from May 21.

Plans are well underway for the PYF Annual Open tournament, which will be held on July 2 and 3. Interested teams should apply asap as places are very limited. The club have already received applications for entry from the UK and abroad and closing date for all entries is Sunday, May 30.

Perth Saltires registered a well-earned win last Monday night against Santos in their national league encounter at Bells Sports Centre. The remaining game is on at 8.20 pm on Monday against Hydro Phoenix and if the team carry on the good form they have shown lately and collect at least one point from the game, they will be crowned league champions.

PYF Saltires have managed to get their promotion hopes back on track and will need to pick up another three points from a tough looking game against Bayern Bru at 6.20pm on Monday.

The club is in the process of arranging for two highly respected and well-known international Futsal managers to come to Perth in July/August and they will be hosting the new coaching courses being launched by the club for it's own coaches.
