Sydney MungalaWed 26 May 2010CIRCOLO Italiano football club were on Sunday night crowned 2009/10 Parmalat Futsal league champions after an exciting match with Lamasat at the Italian Club in Lusaka.
Gift Sibukone was the toast of the crowd banging in four goals in Circolo's 7-3 win over Lamasat International.
The hosts drew first blood with just seven minutes into the game when Enock Shanchebo combined well with Michael Mutambo to neatly tuck the ball behind Lamasat goalie Melvin Kungu.
Kephas Chawa levelled matters for Lamasat three minutes later to bring the game back into a tight contest.
From that minute Lamasat looked like a team destined to win after going 2-1 up only for Michael Mutambo to cancel the lead.
Circolo left the pitch at half time with a 3-2.
On resumption, Lamasat were awarded a penalty which the goalkeeper took leaving his goal gaping for Sibukone to score his first on the night. Hassan Afif was a constant terror in the Circolo half. By the time the referee signalled for the end of the game the score read 7-3 in favour of Circolo.
During awards presentation, Red Sea were crowned Division Two winners while Value Auto got the fair play award with Samson Chulu getting the youngest player award.
The best goalkeeper award was given to Francis Chongo while dribbling wizard Kenneth Chulu was named top scorer with Charles Haluboono emerging best coach.
