ZC Excess crowned Futsal Div I champions

ZC Excess Futsal were crowned First Division champions following a hard fought season and championship play-offs.

They eliminated Paola Downtown 14-10 on aggregate at semi-final stage and beat Naxxar Motors 12-7 in the final. The latter had eliminated White Eagles in the semi-final stages.

Naxxar Motors and Paola Downtown had placed first and second in the preliminary league respectively.

In an attempt at promoting the sport amongst youngsters, during the season, ZC Excess, in collaboration with Lazio Supporters Club, also launched the ZC Excess Lazio Futsal School for kids between 7 and 15 years of age. This was another important milestone for the club and is proving to be a great success.

Registrations for next season will be available soon.

ZC Excess will now represent Malta in UEFA Futsal Cup competition.

MFA vice president, Ludovico Micallef, presented the Futsal First Division Champions Cup to Florin Anton, ZC Excess Futsal player/coach.
