Futsal Referees Training course

A Futsal Referees training course will take place at Trinity Comprehensive School, Ballymun on Sat 19th June from 09.30 to 16.00 approx. The course is designed to equip currently registered football referees with the basic skills necessary to officiate a Futsal match.Referees who may be interested in becoming involved in Futsal as well as football are welcome to attend. Futsal is fast becoming popular among children and adults and a number of adults leagues are growing around Ireland. Of course with the advent of more leagues comes the need for more referees and current football referees may realise an opportunity to supplement their football refereeing fees by becoming involved in Futsal competitions. Futsal also offers referees another opportunity in personal career progression and already, Ireland has a Futsal referee on the FIFA Futsal panel, Rob Rogers. Attendance is free of charge. Dress code is tracksuit but all candidates must bring FULL referee kit. The course is open to FAI registered referees only. To book a place on the course people can e-mail: gerrybehan@hotmail.com
