Blockbuster Predicted at BeenleighThursday 3rd JuneMatch of the Round and Top of the Table Clash
It’s taken five weeks but the eagerly awaited match up of the two leading teams in the Queensland Winter Futsal League will take place at Beenleigh Arena Friday night June 4th
Both teams go into the match at full strength and if there is one difference between the teams, Bayside may have the edge with there clean slate undefeated record.
Gold Coast will back their claims for victory on their powerhouse strengths in attack whilst Bayside will rely on a very tight defensive record and their ability to grind out a win.
Gold Coast’s striker Kai Yakamotto who netted 18 goals in the last eight matches could well hold the key to the match. He’s been playing Futsal on the Gold Coast for over ten years and is considered a bit of a veteran of the game and his unpredictable attack could undo the Eagles.
Whilst Yakamotto will be doing his best up one end for the Gold Coast side his arch rival Gary Stekiewicz is expected to star for the Eagles with his pin point accurate goal shooting.
Andrew Parkes, Managing Director of the Queensland Winter Futsal League encouraged Futsal fans to travel to Beenleigh tomorrow and support these two teams who are breaking new ground in the delivery of high grade Futsal competitions here in Queensland.
“We’re expecting to see a high class match on Friday, and with local side Beenleigh snapping at the heels of both teams in third place we are looking at a great run to the finals as the league nears the half way mark of the competition.”
The Match of the Round kicks off at 7.00pm. Beenleigh Arena, Milne Street, Beenleigh.
