The Hoops had a full strength squad to choose from and after a slow start in the first half, they found their form after the break to claim the three points at the BRL Umbro Arena, Ballymun.
Moroccan magician Badr Bouznig fired Rovers ahead midway through the first half when he finished off a clever free-kick routine involving Reinaldo Grube.
Elder Freitas equalised just before half-time when he connected with a pass by his twin brother Elton. Elton was sent-off midway through the second half for a foul on Cian McDonald.
Philip McDonagh put Rovers, who won this title last year, back in front when he finished from close range after excellent play by skipper Ian Byrne.
Grube led the Hoops to the three points when he played a one-two with McDonagh and slotted home.
Rovers face FAI Futsal Cup winners Sporting Fingal EID in their next fixture on Saturday (3pm) at the same venue. These two sides have yet to drop a point in the league and it has the potential to be a top class futsal game.
